Sounds are considered to be within developmental range when they are in the shaded regions. Sounds are only considered to be non-developmental sound errors when they continue to have sound errors and been out of the shaded region for over 6 months. (Ex. The /p/ sound would be considered a non-developmental sound error if a child was 3.5 years old)
